Is it Possible to Pass a Drug Test with Detoxification Methods?

Passing a drug test can be hard if you are not clean or you have used drugs within the past few days. There are many methods of detoxing that will allow you to pass a drug test, possibly.

Will it Work?

Do detox really work for a drug test? This is a common question people ask. If they do work, what is the best drug test detox? These are all questions we will discuss. When you are looking for a reliable detox, you will not find many. What you will find are costly options that are not going to provide you with what you need. Most detox kits will tell you that you are going to pass the drug test because they help boost the metabolism and dilute your urine. Some kits will also have chemicals that will mask the drugs in your system. While most methods do not work, there are a few that may work. If you have a mouth swab, these are easier to pass than urine tests. Detox for mouth swab drug tests will work easier than for urine. Most drugs will leave the saliva before the urine. However, that does not mean that it will allow you to pass if you have just consumed drugs.

How Long Drugs Stay in Your System

Each drug will stay in your system for a different amount of time. Plus, there are many factors that could alter how long it stays in your system. Your age, ethnicity, weight, sex, medical conditions, and the dosage will all play a part in how long the drug stays in your system.

  • Amphetamines will be in the urine four about three days. However, it will remain in the blood for only 12 hours.
  • LSD will remain in the urine for about three days and in the blood for up to three hours.
  • Heroin can be found in the urine for about four days and in the blood for 12 hours.
  • Methamphetamine will be in the urine for about six days and in the blood for up to 72 hours.
  • Cocaine can be found in your urine for about four days and up to two days in your blood.
  • Cannabis can be found in the urine for up to thirty days and up to two weeks in the blood.

Types of Drug Tests

There are a few different types of drug tests that can be done. There is your normal urine test, but there are also tests for hair and mouth swabs. The mouth swab is an oral test. There is testing for alcohol on the breath as well as special tests that detect fake urine. The last test that is not used often is expanded opioid testing. This is generally used in probation offices to monitor those who have a history of substance abuse with opioids.

You will likely not pass a drug test using detox methods. The only one that may allow you to pass with detox methods is the mouth swab test. However, you shouldn’t rely on detoxing alone to get you through a drug test.
